VEHICLE DESCRIPTION & HISTORY

Lulu is a 1965 Splitscreen left hand drive VW van that was originally a transport bus for Southwest Airlines. She was imported back from Texas in the Autumn of 2008 and underwent a comprehensive restoration, for which photos are available.  Upon completion she then went to work for Strawberry Leisure in Cornwall, transporting many happy couples on their wedding day. She retired in August 2014 when she was bought by her present owners. For the past few years she has had a few family adventures in Cornwall, whilst being  kept safely in a garage when not in use.

She is fitted with a really smart camping interior which includes Smev gas hob, sink, Vitrifrigo fridge/ice box which is powered by a 12V DC leisure battery which charges when the engine is running. There is also a 12V ceiling light, halogen reading lamp, 240V mains hook up, 12 DC power socket and  Kenwood stereo system with 4 HiFi loudspeakers. Lulu also has door canopy, insulated window covers, a small front seat hammock and a rock n roll day bed. She is a tax exempt.
